Ten Unique Ways We Serve Our Clients…

1. Professional Wedding DJ Experience! My name is Ted Bilodeau. I’ve had the pleasure of providing entertainment for hundreds and hundreds of wedding receptions for many years…however, I am not the star of the show! I don’t steal your spotlight! I want your guests to focus on you! I really want to get to know you and I sincerely care about you. I want you to be thrilled that you chose me to be your DJ. I would be honored to help make your wedding celebration unique, romantic, personalized just for you, classy, and lots of fun! I have a long list of very happy clients that you can contact. For example, Christi and Kevin Carroll: he is professional and introduces the wedding party with tact. He is not rude or loud. He also has done so many weddings that he has many suggestions and makes it easy for you to remember to do everything.”

2. Your wedding is the only event I will do on this very special day for you! I will give you my complete attention at whatever time you need. I spend several hours before your reception carefully preparing every detail. This takes time. I don’t squeeze two weddings into one day. Your wedding is too important. Samantha and Brian Masterson: he was prepared well ahead of time, which made for a smooth day. He was willing to change the plan, and did a great job of doing it.”

3. I will be there personally for you as your DJ. The person that you carefully considered and trusted enough to hire for such a special occasion is the person that will actually be there for you. I am the owner of Twist and Shout Productions, and I will be there for you. You wont get someone else at the last minute that you don’t even know or who may not have experience, may not have the songs you want, and may not know the important details you really care about.

4. Professional Radio DJ Experience. I’ve been a professional radio disc jockey at several radio stations for many years. This experience helps me to really keep up with music, understand microphone technique, speech communication, and entertainment value. You can hear me on Sunny 102 in Syracuse, and on Mix 102.5 in the Utica/Syracuse area using the radio name ‘Steve Kelley’. Kathy Barney: “just knowing that he was a radio disc jockey gave me the feeling that he was a veteran at it.”

5. Extra-early arrival. I get to your reception location very early. I plan extra time for travel and set up. I am very concerned about planning ahead and having back-up plans. I even bring a back-up suit!! This is your wedding! This is one of the most important days of your life and I understand that.

6. The most complete wedding planning process. I will ask you to fill out our Wedding Planning Form with many suggestions, ideas, and questions for you. My planning form is the most detailed of any service that I know of. Then we’ll discuss every aspect of your entertainment. Your reception will be just what you want and I will help you through it all. I will take care of every detail, so you are free to enjoy every moment of your special day without worry or stress. Kim and Jeff Reynics: Thank you for helping persuade us to do the Married Couple dance…the couple that won (62 years), the husband passed away last month and we are so glad that we were able to share that special moment with them.”

7. I will really listen to you! I will pay careful attention to the details that are important to you. I want to learn everything about how you envision this special day. I will take the time to get to know you… your personal music tastes, the type of DJ performance you would like, the kind of atmosphere you want for your party, exactly what you expect, any special circumstances you need me to know about, and special songs that you want played or not played. Amy Canavan: every song we asked to be played was played, and every song that we asked not to be played was not played. Outstanding!”

8. Professional equipment and back-up equipment on-site. The sound will be set up properly and equalized for the room so that your guests will be able to dance to the music, hear important announcements, and still talk and visit comfortably. An elevated speaker system is an important part of our set-up that helps us to accomplish this. We also include a light show! JoAnne Downing:we were able to talk during the reception. This is not to say that the dancing music was not loud enough, it was just right! Perfect!”

9. More than just music! I receive new songs released to radio stations every month… in several genres even before they become hits! We have a fantastic collection of over 25,000 old, new, fast and slow songs. Not only do I have the most up to date music collection, including everything from Sinatra to the Stones to Shania to Shakira… but I have the experience to know the songs that will get your family and friends on the dance floor. Some of our competitors brag about having 50,000 or 100,000 songs in their music library. Here’s the thing-- in a typical wedding reception there is time for only about 40 to 50 songs for dancing. It’s not how many songs you have, your question should be: do you have the right songs and do you have the knowledge to know which ones will get people on the dance floor!? Just because a DJ can play any request imaginable, are the rest of your guests going to want to hear it, and will it be good or bad for your party? I have the experience to be able to “read a room” and observe your guests to know what they want to hear. This is not to say that I don’t play requests, I love playing them with your permission. Liz and Adam Begley: from the cocktail hour through dinner, and into the party, the music choice and timing was great!”

10. Reasonable rates! Very high quality entertainment and exceptional service for a reasonable amount. Let us share with you our packages and rates. I honestly think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
